Seeking an ideal candidate to join a growing Financial Planning firm in Mint Hill

We are looking to hire a junior financial advisor as a support team member for our senior advisors. This career path is designed for a motivated individual who can bring their skills and financial expertise to continue our long-lasting relationship with clients and establish new client relationships, to guide and support them in achieving their financial objectives. The candidate will participate as part of a team and be coached in current firm policies, procedures, and systems.

Your tasks

  • Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences.
  • Assist with new and existing employer sponsored retirement plans by working with business owners, third party administrators and plan sponsors.
  • Assist with senior advisors to create account reviews, financial plans and investment strategies aligned with client's objectives and risk profiles.
  • Recommend suitable investment products
  • Perform trades for new investments, re-balancing, RMDs or other cash flow requirements.
  • Monitor and review investment portfolios, work with senior advisors to adjust strategies as per market conditions and clients' changing needs.
  • Provide clients with ongoing financial advice and guidance, addressing their questions, and providing solutions.
  • Collaborate with client’s tax advisors, legal professionals, and estate planners, to offer appropriate planning strategies and solutions.
  • Stay updated with market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other team client service discussions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
  • Series 7/63/65 – or ability to attain within 90 days of hire.
  • 2+ years’ experience in financial services
  • Understanding of financial markets, investment products, and wealth management principles.
  • Integrity, ethical conduct, and adherence to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – with clients and with coworkers.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Strong analytics - with quick decision-making and results-oriented mindset.
  • Accountability – own and manage tasks with minimal oversight; accept constructive advice when given.
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical-thinking.
  • Team player - Positive attitude, help foster an enjoyable office atmosphere, reliable, willing to jump in when needed, respectful of other’s ideas and viewpoints, coachable, supports all team members.

 Preferred qualifications and skills

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or working on process to obtain.
  • Insurance (life/health) licensed.
  • Experience with industry and firm specific systems (Redtail, LPL Clientworks, Albridge, Income Lab, DST Vision, Morningstar Advisor, Nitrogen, etc.)
